    Am I the only one?

I hate to be a link monkey, but I find this webcomic hilarious, and no one I know gets it. I knew I was the nerdly-nerd at work and home, but the wonderful thing about the internet is that it's full of nerds.

I can't be the only one who played those text-based adventure games.

I can't be the only one who, when the game didn't quite understand what I wanted of it, typed in "........ off" or "go to hell" or "eat ........" or "........ on you, you worthless computer, throw the goddamn rock at the goddamn bird! I'm not afraid to power your non-understanding ass down! Don't make me do it!"

Am I? Please validate my sense of humor!

I get it.But I didn't really play many of those games. But when I did, I tried to make my commands be as interesting as possible, to humour myself I guess.

OK, hilarious was probably going too far, I admit.
I think it's funnier for me, too, because last week I installed Slackware on my laptop, and one of the optional packages was a bunch of old BSD text-based games. There are a few adventure games like that in there, so I had a very similar exchange with one of them just a few days ago.

I remember finding a copy of hitchkider's guide to the galaxy on my school's apple mac and being amazed at how it seemed to understand everything I typed. But then I was always more logical then creative.

Good on ya. I don't see the point in swearing normally, so I tend to avoid it.

Give me a break. You couldn't tell from his post where he said "go to hell" "eat ...." ".... off" that he was swearing, and that the link he was talking about was talking about the same thing?

Ok, here's without the swearing: Man you're stupid.
