Who's been moderator since Day 1?

I know there has been some resets on this forum with users and posts and whatever, but who's been modding here since the beginning? That is to say, webmaster addressed them personally and said, "Hey, I'm putting a forum on my website, you want to mod" or something of that fashion? Also, did this forum derive from members of another forum?

In 2002 I seem to remember nvoigt and salem as moderators. kermi too of course.
I remember Prelude from back then. But not sure if she was a moderator.

No, Prelude has been a mod for just a few months, if that.

Me too. I just don't say much (as proven by my sub-100 posts).

kermi wasn't a mod to begin with. One day he just showed up and was an admin.

The current mods that have been mods for as long as I've been around are salem, nv, and lightatdawn.

No, a few months ago Prelude moved up a rank. She was a regular Mod, with the name not bold, just like Sang-Drax and Stack Overflow.

Day 1 is relative. My joindate is 08-10-2001 and that's probably the date this forum software went online. If I remember correctly, this is the third forum software version ( not updates, but outright different software ) that I know. The first one was horrible And I remember Salem was already there when I posted first in '98 or '99. Back then brackets were allowed in usernames and I was known as (nv).

She was so Blonde, she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice can because it said "Concentrate."

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.

Website went up in 96. I'm pretty sure the first board went up sometime in 97. Salem and Sunlight (It's early in the morning, I may be getting that wrong) were the first mods (along with Alex). I started helping Alex out on the boards consistently in 98 or 99.

Board upgraded to vB in 8/2001.

If you're new to the boards, welcome and reading this will help you get started.

So really, the only people that have been consistently involved with managing the board have been Steelem and alex.

Wait - so all non-super mods work undercover?

    Scary.
