Thread: Your favorite movie.

The one with Arnold? Where he runs just a few meters in front of 10 or something men firing semi-automatic weapons at him and no one hits him? The same where he places explosives on the ground on the outside of the buildings and they explode from the inside? The same movie where he gets hold of a rocket launcher with 4 rockets, fires 3 and tosses it aside?

Well... to his credit I did enjoy the two Conans very much. And Terminator 1 is one of those cult movies. Also he didn't use to talk. Best performances, I reckon

And... Total Recall. It's hard not to like it. It's one of the most ridiculous sci-fi movies ever. I mean,... planet terraforming in a matter of seconds? C'mon!... but you can't stop loving it hehe

I've actually only seen the first Lord of The Rings. Then again it's not exactly my kind of movie. Well. Braveheart and Robin Hood: Men In Tights are about the only medievil movies I like.

You reminded me of of another great movie. John Borman's Excalibur. The best legend of king artur movie in my opinion. Considered by many also the best Merlin ever, cast by an actor that the studios had told Borman he could play anything, except Merlin.

And speaking of spaceballs, although not entirely related, Mounty Python's Life of Brian. "A motion picture destined to offend two thirds of the world. And severely annoy the other third"

I watched Fight Club and I have three questions about it:
-How do you explain the scene where Edward Norton was reading a book downstairs while Brad Pitt was with the girl upstairs?

-What was the idea of the movie?

-Is this really that easy to manipulate peoples mind like that?

Of course I know this. This is why he couldn't be at two different places at the same time.

Hmm... well, he was at two different places all the time Regardless, the obvious explanation was that E. Norton was upstairs with her. Then he blocked it out of is mind convincing himself he was downstairs reading a book while hearing the noises upstairs.

As for manipulating people's minds, where should I start? Hitler? TV? Politicians? Military?...

There is something, however, I never got, though. The time that Ed Norton meets up with Bob on the street (after Bob has joined Fight Club), he refers to him as Cornelius (from the self-help meetings), even though he knows about Tyler Durden and his stuff. Now that's understandable as you can imagine that Bob just never heard of Tyler Durden at that point. But then, however, when he moves on to basically become Tyler's puppet, you'd think he'd start to wonder as to why the guy's who's ordering was named Tyler Durden at one time, and then Cornelius at another, and why at that meeting on the street he never confirmed to being Tyler Durden...

Anyhow, I don't know if they ever address that issue in the movie, but if they do, please enlighten me...
