luckiest person in the world == me

Don't read this if you dont want to get sick/jealous, but I do believe I am the luckiest person in the world. I realized today (well i realize this every day when i wake up) that I am the luckiest person in the world. My girlfriend who I love more than anything:
-asks me questions about my coding
    -actually enjoys video games
-actually enjoys just watching me play video games (she's "forced" me to play before)
    -loves me back
    -is pretty

I think that most people could only dream of a girl that does 2 of those things, let alone that and so much more i didn't have time to put down. I usually dont like to post unrelated things here but I just wanted to post this to give some hope to some people out there to let them know that the perfect girl does exist, but she's already my girlfriend.

    (Hi Julia! )

It's good to see that you're happy and having some fun cozman

As much as I think it would be cool to have a girl who'd be into computers and all that, I'd prefer one who was into something else ! Most of my friends are IT/computer geeks like myself, and talking about it all the time gets a bit boring after a while!

Yeah, but with a girl who knows that sort of stuff, you have the choice. You don't have to talk about computers ( you don't have to talk at all ) but you could do it if you wanted to and that's very nice. *sigh* I hope I meet one of those rare beauties again some time... until then, I hope for the advent of the coder-groupie...

    Have fun cozman

[Edited to clarify: It's not like it's great to discuss Huffmans algorithm with your girlfriend over breakfast... that's not what I meant. That's a bit too much. But someone who knows about coding is just... different. Imagine two scenes from a programmers life:

Coder: Hey honey... jeez, I spent 5 hours debugging today, just because I forgot to increase a friggin' loop counter... I should have learned that in my first class...

    a) pGF: Oh boy... *sarcastic smile* sounds like a hard day, come here silly...

    b) nGF: uhm... whats a loop counter ?

    Thats what I meant

You lot make it sound so strange for a girl to actually have any interest in computers at all!

    It's not that strange...

...well, judging by how many females there are (or aren't) on this forum and other programming forums well...okay, so there aren't that many but programming/gaming females aren't as rare as all that!

(Did that actually make any sense?)

There are some real morons in this world please do not become one of them, do not become a victim of moronitis. PROGRAMMING IS THE FUTURE...THE FUTURE IS NOW!!!!!!!!!

    >programming/gaming females aren't as rare

Well... when I applied for the programming courses, someone asked what the male/female ratio were. The teacher said 'It's about 5%. That means if you are lucky, there will be a woman in your class.' Our class was lucky, we had 15% in the end. And all of them made it, contrary to the 10 males who dropped out. Our programming/Database team consists of roughly 20 people at work. There are three women, already including the part-time secretary. I wish it would be different, but as it is, it's a lousy statistic

    >You lot make it sound so strange for a girl to actually have any interest in computers at all!

From all the girls I know, two would turn on a computer in their sparetime for something else than games. My ex-gf and my colleague. That makes for one woman on the same continent, and I don't date coworkers

    *sigh*

There seem to be some things that just fit the stereotypes. Ever seen a male grammar school art teacher ?

I don't think I would be able to find happiness or 'anything' else for that matter in a girlfriend. A few years ago that was what I dreamed about. But the only real positivity and magic that exists is in myself.

About all people on this earth are talking about it as it was something special to live with someone - it's only the talk that makes them believe it, it's the talk that creates this false "magic" and removes all the other possibilities. I hate to live in this dead world. If people ceased to believe it would fall apart with themselves. Well, it's possible to ignore the crowd and go your own direction, and believe in completely different things, things people have never considered. It causes death and emptiness for the ones left behind. But to create something, and to let it grow without a limit in sight is superior to everything else.
