Ok, well a week or so ago I was forced to install Norton to get rid of some nasties that wound up on my other computer. I should probably tell you that I hate Norton for various reasons. Well anyways, now when I login to Windows(XP Pro), it takes like 5 minutes JUST to log me in and I have the startup configured so NOTHING except essential Windows garbage and Norton, startup on login. When I used to login, before the disaster named Norton was installed, it logged me in quite fast, like a minute or less. The computer's a Pentium IV. I was just wondering if anyone else has had negative experiences with Norton and if it's ACTUALLY Norton that is slowing the login or if it's my computer(like has that happened to you kinda deal).
