The video is very funny, but I don't see why everyone finds the quote so hilarious. It's an analogy. A drump truck is indiscriminate, a series of tubes may or may not be.

Didn't you hear him mention that someone sent him an email and it took a whole night for him to receive it because the tubes were too clogged with people pirating movies (or something like that).

This video of the same show is frieking hilarious - probably because even though they are going to extremes to be funny, the idiots are going to extremes to cure 'bad parenting'.

I enjoyed the game video as well, thank Bubba.

I find the quote funny because the man is obviously an idiot when it comes to this ominous "internet" thing. One could say it was just a poor choice, but he said someone sent him an "internet" and his argument as a whole was quite pathetic. His understanding is obviously--lacking...
Everyone knows the internet isn't a truck (even my mother )--and for that matter, a truck becomes full much faster than many tubes (toilet or food disposal for example). Why not pick a seemingly boundless mass like the ocean or a landfill?

Yup. They chose to pick on the truck bit of the senator speech. That is just one of the many rdiculous things he said. People sending internets to each other, is another example they could have picked on.

The truck though is an easier pick for a funny sketch to to be seen even by those who secretly think the internet is a series of tubes

However, I laughed more at the senator speech than I did at the sketch. I love the Daily Show, but they got beaten in humour by a poor idiotic senator from Alaska. I guess that to be really funny you have to be part of the joke.
