Good for what type of application?

I like the right one... for now anyway.

    I voted left.

if a contradiction was contradicted would that contradition contradict the origional crontradiction?

I like the left one. But why choose? Use all three. Blend them together into one image. That would look cool.

Hey in your next demo fade one image in while fading the other out. In 24 bit that would look awesome. By the way, when can I steal your font functions? If you do find a faster blender than what I'm using - let me have it so I can pick it apart mathematically.

I have some 13h 8-bit fade in and fade out functions...you can probably convert them to 24 bit pretty easily, especially since all 8-bit modes use 24-bit colors.

Fading in and out is even easier in 24 bit since you don't have that limited palette. Simply slowly linear interpolate between texels of the two images or between the current buffer and the image you are fading in. Transparent fading can also be done where both images exist at the same time. Then you could fade one out and one in at random times. Would look very good.

Just found and awesome texture blender. I'm using it to blend several textures for my voxel landscape map, but I'm sure you could use it to blend textures w/o having the height map as the reference. You would use alpha values to determine how much of each color or texture is visible.

Shouldn't you have a radiologist look at that left one? What are you choosing these for anyway?
