    Post C#/.NET books

    Hey guys,

not sure whether to put this in the C# forum, but it doesnt look too widely used, so i thought id get more coverage in here id obviously understand if it got moved there or something.

Now, im looking for a recommended C#/.NET book, but id like one that doesnt go over all of the basics from the beginning, because i assume all the control statements etc are pretty much the same as in C/C++. I'm pretty fed up with going down the bookshops and finding that every single one i flick through goes through teaching you everything from the very beginning. I'm just looking to learn what's new in the language, but more about the .NET framework (cant say ive done any of .NET yet though).

If i could be pointed in the direction of some good reviews, or where to buy the book(s) then that'd be greatly appreciated

Programming Windows - Microsoft (Petzold) is an excellent book in my honest opinion.

Programming C# by Jessie Liberty is a very good book. Make sure you get the most recent version covering .NET 2.0

There are many books out there on the framework, but again, look for a recent one. It also helps to troll MSDN and read tutorials on what interests you
