    So what'd you get?

'Twas a plentiful Christmas around here. I got:

40 GB hard drive. that should solve my HD space problems.

256 MB of SDRAM. more RAM to add to my comp.

GeForce 2 video card. (not quite a GeForce 3, but still an excellent graphics card) has 64 MB of video memory.

    Optical mouse.

two new Calvin & Hobbes books (they always make me laugh )

10000 bucks (don't worry, that's in pesos, about 4 US dollars bummer)

and some CD stickers , but... oh, hell

Let's see...I got an AMD AthlonXP 1700, a motherboard, and a case for them. I've almost got everything to work, except that after the BIOS gets all the PCI information, it just freezes when it boots onto a disk, so I can't use it yet.

I gave more than I got this holiday season... being that I have a family (non-working wife and a baby boy). I got some cash from relatives, a Finland Shirt (quite nice), a sports bag, and a few other little things.

My wife got an expensive camera tripod (she loves photography), a bubble spa, a back massager, some cash, a bunch of candy, some jewlry, and a few other things.

My son got a bunch of toys. (which he will play with once and then never touch again--which I really do not understand... I play with his toys more than he does )

I had a pretty good christmas though I was hardly at home! I spent a lot of time travelling to various abodes of my siblings and their vast families. Watching tiny (and not so tiny) kiddies opening their presents, lose a bit as soon as they open, beg for batteries to see the helicopter light up inside and fire real missiles! (I nearly got one!)

I enjoyed a P4 1.7G processor, a new electric guitar and I'm promised on epiphany an 80Gb HD! To be truthful I'd rather a 40Gb HD, a keychain HD and 256Mb RAM but never mind. I'll just have to console myself with all that space!!

I got some jewellery and candle stuff from my friends and a plethera of 2002 calendars from various people (though I only really use Works Calendar)...

I also got a not-so-nice present in the form of an empty wallet. Christmas is expensive! Parents, siblings, various nieces, nephews, cousins, friends...

    ...Argle.

Ignoring the corruption of the thread, this is what I got:

A packet of dry roasted peanuts, and a packet of digestive biscuits - with a promise to turn them into a cheese cake new years eve, and some new jog/sports "trousers", (long baggy things you wear to the gym).

I beat my record, she got 12 presents of which 5 were non-trivial! She has expressed no wish to change any of them. I, am happy.

You can get my address and then you can send me some money. How's that?
