    java is scum

    i now hate java - its official!
    i have just written 300 lines of java for my uni assignment and i hate it !!!
    writing java using emacs under unix is no fun at all!

    That's too bad.... It works fine in Solaris in Text Editor...

    All else fails - d/l the SDK onto your laptop and get JCreator - just like MSVC++

    I can relate, emacs in a telnet client is just painful. Writing anything under emacs is not fun unless you are a console loving unix freak, don't make that let you hate java though, coding C++ in emacs is just as painful.

    I'd definitely recommend JCreator under windows as well.

    I love Java, specially JavaScript, I also use Sun's JDK and Microsoft Visual J++ 6, it's very nice since you can put java code in a web page. nothing more to say

    They used to force us to write C in Pico in my UNIX class. Why I have no clue but it was horrible so I understand ...believe me ...I understand. I got caught one time pasting it in from Notepad and got yelled at. What the point of that learning lesson was I still haven't figured out.
