    Critique my new website layout.

    http://www.clockworkinnovations.ca

I redesigned my website (again), hopefully to somthing better than what it was.
If you have some time to kill, have a look, and tell me what you think I did right, and what I did wrong.

    Thanks,

Can't really see the top banner text. The bottom logo is kind of hokey. Black text is kind of hard to read against that background color.

Updated (except for the background logo). How's it look now?

Better. Try white text. I have to strain to read the blue text against a grey back ground.

The logo at the bottom makes the site look very novice like. Other than that, I enjoy the look/feel you're going for.

Text fixed. Tried a different background logo. I'm really bad at logo design. I'll probably eventually go with a solid color. Any suggestions for a background color?

If your browser window is larger than the black background, you end up with a black square and the blue banner extending beyond it, and it looks accidental.

It's probably not a good idea to refer to your website as CWI.ca. CWA's okay, but CWI.ca implies a complete URL, which could cause confusion.

As for the layout itself, I think it'd look a lot better with the logo up top, and no title stating the name of the page.

Removed logo, and switched to solid black background. Also added a blue grid background to the main header (title) and main footer (copyright info).

Much nicer - that's it for specific things I can pick out.

I'm not a fan of the colors (little contrast, bad blue/gray choices), and the logo on the right is beyond unreadable because of it (and the font). http://www.colourlovers.com/

I think it would look better if there was more padding on the header so the text wasn't at the edge, and the same goes for the news title.

As a matter of opinion, menus appear to look better with bullets on the left, bold text, and only underline and a little color fade on rollover.

Usually the header goes for the most stand-out look, but you've got your news with the highest contrast shade, I don't know if you intended that.

With such a small layout you wouldn't think the statement, "Viewed best at a screen resolution of 1024x768, with Mozilla Firefox," would be necessary and only clutter up the already compact footer.

Definetly much better than before though.

This is not a critique of mine, but here are some things one might want to consider.
    7. It is easier to write an incorrect program than understand a correct one.
    40. There are two ways to write error-free programs; only the third one works.*
