    DarkBasic

    Alright any opinions on this is it just a version of programming games for the kids who don't wanna work hard would it be like the script-kiddie of the programming world. Thanks for opinions I personally would not use it I like the knowledge of knowing whats going on under the hood and with DarkBasic I doubt you learn that. For those who don't know what it is www.darkbasic.com.

    >By far the people most likely to benefit from DarkBASIC are >those that have absolutely no idea what programming is and >have no intention of ever finding out.
    Find it in the "What is it" section.

    From this passage we can see that DarkBASIC is for little people who cannot spend a little bit of their time trying to learn to program. In another word, they are lazy bums.

    I think DarkBASIC is just the same concept as click & play. Basically it's like a menu where you select a game, put your name on it, and tell all your friends that you're a programmer. When in actual fact, 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, etc (you get the idea) copies of a game that is exactly like that are in circulation around the world. It's ridiculous. And how many version of snake do we really need?

    Yeah...All in all...DarkBasic sucks. It's for people that don't know how to program a REAL game. Just as someone said, DarkBasic users are the script kiddies of game programming. I'd much rather use Visual Basic than DB. At least VB can use DirectX...
    What will people say if they hear that I'm a Jesus freak?
    What will people do if they find that it's true?
    I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak, there is no disguising the truth!

    don't worry about it! damn it sucks I know, that doesn't mean I wanna know how much you hate them. I hate it too. anyway it is pretty pathetic, and I thought VB was ludecrous
    if a contradiction was contradicted would that contradition contradict the origional crontradiction?

    At first I was happy that something like that exist but at the end I realized that if I want to become a programmer I must learn C and then C++. A real programmer must know what is going on behind the scene. The truth is that DarkBASIC is slow and for no use!
    Current projects:
    1) User Interface Development Kit (C++)
    2) HTML SDK (C++)
    3) Classes (C++)
    4) INI Editor (Delphi)

    "At least VB can use DirectX..." DB (DarkBASIC) uses DirectX...personally, I dont think it is too bad. Sure its not nearly as powerful as C++, but if you need to do something quickly with fairly good results, then it does the job pretty well.
