Thread: home made movies and animations

a friend and i are starting up a website that will allow budding filmmakers, cinematographers, scrpters, playwrites to upload movies, animations, scripts etc to the a central location.
These would then be made available to visiotrs at no cost to either party.
Any feedback appreciated. Anyone interested?

Is it an ftp site?

this is as yet undecided. You see we have to examine content before making it available - due to the licensing laws for example we are unable to host sexually explicit movies or animations that are explicitly slanderous. If we have a free to all ftp this would make doctoring the content more complex.

A suggestion is to have the maker email us a description and we provide them with a tempoary ftp account to secure directory. Then we move itto the main part of the site.

We are still experimenting with submission techniques. More than likely there will just be a file upload page which will upload it directly to the server.

Streaming audio capabilities are available.
