Hard to say. What about C#? What about VB for data basses? What about ........
Guess I will vote I Can't Guess
C++ Is Powerful
I use C++
There fore I am Powerful
Hmm...I can envision Java becoming popular because of it seems easier to use(in my opinion). Although, games will probably stay with C++.
What will people say if they hear that I'm a Jesus freak?
What will people do if they find that it's true?
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak, there is no disguising the truth!

I moved this thead from C++ as it would seem more suitable here.
Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity unto the dream.
Java is in a better position right now. The Internet is huge and Java just eats it up. Java is also very easy for a C/C++ dev to pick up. I can't think of one reason for a C/C++ dev not to learn Java.
The overall crowd will think that Java = Internet; C++ = games.

But that's really not the case. With the newest technology from Java (JXTA) wireless PDA/cell gaming (more of it) is going to start coming to the US soon. I wouldn't associate Java with just the Internet but it's ability to perform the way it does over the Net is a huge plus for it's fight. The post is talking about Job Market stability so I'm giving opinions on enterprise level software and solutions. But with every side of the business, Java is looking better and better everyday.
JAVA is JUNK....
Learn to write REAL computer programs in C/C++ and Assembler, especially Assembler. To run native with the tightest fastest possible code is the only way to go.
JAVA is a BLOATED ASS DINOSAUR doomed to die a slow and anguishing death. Byte Code interpretation is a stupid way to run an application.
Funny how you hide your name, you act as if I don't know who you are
You should let your master know that my site is making a comeback and will be up soon.
Why did your site crash, DID YOU USE THAT ALMIGHTY SO WONDERFULLY SIMPLE JAVA......
The site never crashed, it...wtf? Why am I even considering explaining anything to you? Ha, just go back to your ****ty place and chill with your 4 online members. I need to keep working on my new site.
... if your site didn't crash, what happened?

The site was only a set of forums. One day, out of the blue, my host changed their policy and said you couldn't run just forums on their servers. They said I could create a real site with pages or get my money back for the paid hosting, I opted for #2
I just didn't feel like creating webpages. But now I've been working hard on it and it's coming along GREAT.
