EH, gag me. Check out the gaming section on entropysink.com . A few of our members haven't posted in ages because of that damn thing.
I've been playing EQ2 trial. I think it's a great game, never played WoW, though. But the only reason I don't like MMO's is the @!@$ monthly fees. They are way to expensive, you pay like $5 just to play an hour :exageration: . Those games take over your life, as well, wait I dont have a life, haha!! My only MMO that I actually payed for, was Phantasy Star Online, for the dreamcast. That was an awesome game, that system got me into online gaming. You could only talk for like 3 seconds on the mic, haha, but it was kickass back then.

<--- addicted to WoW... I've been spending too much time on it :P
Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah
You. Fetch me my copy of the Wall Street Journal. You two, fight to the death - Stewie
Too many of my friends have been...devoured...by MMORPGS for me to even try them. I'm out and out frightened of them.
Level 58 Disc/Holy Priest.
Level 52 Rogue.

She was so Blonde, she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice can because it said "Concentrate."
When in doubt, read the FAQ.
Then ask a smart question.

I see your point with the cost....but WOW is not that expensive like others...it's like 15$ a month....now I live in South Africa Which translates to $75 a month. Which is still pretty acceptble considdering the quality you get.
And yeah...It has taken over my social life...

If you only play 3 hours per month, then MMORPGs aren't for you the same way that a TV set is to expensive if you only watch TV 3 hours a month. But the only reason I don't like MMO's is the @!@$ monthly fees. They are way to expensive, you pay like $5 just to play an hour

wow, i didnt realize WoW it was that expensive... I don't play any game enough to pay a monthly fee.
Surely that's insane, though?
I mean, you have to pay like £20 - £30 for the software in the first instance, on top of that you pay $15 a month?!?
Maybe if they actually provided you with priority routing or something from your ISP to them so you'd be guaranteed a perfect connection 24/7, yeah. But other than that it's a nice way to make money.
Valve updates HL2 with new, free content every now and then without me having to pay them anything monthly. Maybe I should fly to their offices with some spare blankets and food just to make sure they're OK?
Sorry, but the only true MMORPG is Nethack.
Damnit, I have to post about WoW.
60 Druid. Quit about two weeks ago. Game got sooooo boring.
I used to think the exact same thing, but I know I got moreThey are way to expensive....
than my money's worth. In the 8 months I played the game, I
paid less than $200 ($80 of that was for the Collector's Edition).
May sound stupid, but World of Warcraft actually *saved* me
money. I didn't buy any other game in those 8 months. Half-Life 2
and Metroid Prime 2 (hehe, still in its shinkwrap) were the last
games I bought before WoW.
Since I quit WoW, I've bought 2 games. 2 games in two weeks!
See what I mean? WoW saved me cash.
Still, Blizzard kept screwing everything up. (1.7 patch may bring
me back. Druid fixes!). Now I'm waiting to see how Tabula Rasa
turns out.
Staying away from General.
>Level 58 Disc/Holy Priest.
Eeew. Why Holy?
Staying away from General.
Yeah, I've got a 47 Disc/Holy priest, as well as a 44 Fire/Arcane mage, and a 40 combat rogue.

ive only got a puniy level 27 warrior - alliance - Bladefirst, what server do you guys go on?
I played a 53 hunter in WoW before I realized the game sucked.
I am not back to EQ2 which is much much better.
