    Post Avatars???

Hi all, I'm ProgramWizard, also new to this site. Sorry if this doesn't belong here, but I couldn't find any forums designed for this: whenever I try to upload my custom Avatar from the CP, I get a message saying "POST requests are not allowed for foreign hosts." Do you need special privliges to upload an Avatar? Thanks!

POST request . . . the site you're uploading from is requesting data via POST.

No. The board's host and the site hosting your image would appear to be having a falling out. Can you move your image to another host?

If all else fails, you can e-mail me the image and I'll edit your profile to insert it. PM me, (or any of the other mods), if you want to do that.

Welcome to the boards, be sure to read the rules at some convenient time, if you haven't already. They're mostly common sense.

When adrianxw says "some convenient time," he really means "before you even think about posting."

Is this a bad time to note that the rules get broken often, thereby lending evidence to the conclusion that many programmers lack common sense?
If I did your homework for you, then you might pass your class without learning how to write a program like this. Then you might graduate and get your degree without learning how to write a program like this. You might become a professional programmer without knowing how to write a program like this. Someday you might work on a project with me without knowing how to write a program like this. Then I would have to do you serious bodily harm. - Jack Klein
