I have my Bachelor's of Science in Computer Engineering (no certs), and I make the average for an engineering position in my area (sorry, I'm not going to give you dollar amounts). My company wouldn't really pay me more if I had any specific certs... they'd only pay for me to get them.

so far I just have an associates in computer systems management (wtf?) but I'm working on a BS in comp sci, which will hopefully turn into a MS... no certifications either.
edit: oh yeah, I make $8/hr in a photo lab. I just recently got up to level III which should include a raise. if you want to call that a certification.

I have the equivalent of a CompSci BS. When I came out of school, Germany did not have a BS/Masters system, now we have. Anyway, I don't have other certs. I don't plan to get more certs programming wise. Most are just a ton of money spent to prove what I already know. I will probably go for certs that teach me something new, where my money is spent for actually learning something. Probably the degree you need to train apprentices/trainees. Not that I wouldn't do that already, but I only cover the technical side, the organization is done by my boss, who already has this degree.
What I make is somewhat below average, but at least in Germany, we have a serious unemployment problem and there isn't really a flood of better jobs just around the corner. Numbers won't help you any here, because variables are totally different. Tax percentages, living costs etc. If absolutely nothing were deducted from my pay, then I could afford 21.91 Meals at McDonalds per day. Good thing that the state and insurances deduct ~40% before I even get to see my paycheck. I don't think I would be able to survive on that diet

However, I do have two non-computer related degrees, a loving spouse, two wonderful offspring, and three mischievious household guests, so I swear that time keeps accelerating every year. When I can find a few minutes here and there to browse the board, an hour or two to work on projects, or some friends to play a rubber of bridge, its priceless.

No income from writing code, at least. I do it for a hobby and the intellectual challenge, or as Prelude has put it so eloquently, as part of an effort to find a state of confuzzlement. As to the day job, let's just say I manage to do all right. I don't win any prizes, but I don't have many worries either. IMO having a job and earning a living is a means to an end. I have to admit, that being able to enjoy the process has it's own rewards, though.

I dont have any IT certs, and I dont work in IT, although it does present itself in my work quite frequently - building databases, websites, data manipulation tools etc.
My career and degree are in accountancy. I'm finishing professional qualifications at the moment (that's why I have been absent for a while).
As to how much I earn, I wont comment.
It's all based on how many coins I can fit into my little tin cup at one time
