    my forum

I never bothered posting my board except during my questions relating to my small scale hosting service.

    http://wisconsinsirens.com/forums/

We discuss many different topics; general discussions, a game board(question games, etc.), computers help, general technology discussions and a very active news section a senior member keeps upkeep on by posting sometimes up to 5-10 new articles per day about various updates to major software and news articles relating to new technologies. It's kind of handy to have everything in one spot.

The forum isn't siren-related(though there are siren topics), it's just part of the "Bookmark Hosting Network" and was carried over from my siren site. It simply remains on the same server for now until I find time to transfer the database.

Oh and we also have a hidden section for special people; if you get invited try to ignore the TP and spray paint. I think we need to keep seeing senior members post their own boards once in awhile; it detracts from the cBoard's General Discussion section which Alex has expressed concern over many times regarding overposting(to GD).
The world is waiting. I must leave you now.

I've never really pushed my forum too hard. Though I'm to the point where total strangers are registering.

Probably a wise idea unless you are sure you can handle the hosting costs it takes to run a really popular forum

For starters that board has 40gb. I use 5 or so per month on average. 8,000 hits a day.

Traffic of course. 500mb storage. That account runs my siren site, my forum and my self-promotional website.

    -edit-

Are you going to ask the color of my underwear next?

That's subjective. For instance I have a sweet spot for blog/newspaper-magazine/newsletter style website layouts. On the other hand I have a friend who has a black and white layout fetish he can't kick. He's very very artistic with autocad and his tablet(working on a frame by frame flash right now), he just can't kick the black and white.

topics are topics..im not attracting very much of a 100% pro technology crowd, i get more of a mix hence the diversity of topics

Who cares about content?!?! We have a kick butt name.
wisconsinsirens.com makes me think "What does wisconsin have to do with mythical women that caused ships to run into rocks"

Entropy Sink makes me think "What the heck is that? Entropy? <goes and looks it up> Ah disorder, my kind of place!"

Btw if you think I've been serious at all in this entire thread I think you should stop listening to that lady singing

ES certainly didn't have a good 3-4 years on another forum to get new members, I'll tell you that.
