    The word rap as it applies to music is the result of a peculiar phonological rule which has stripped the word of its initial voiceless velar stop.

    I asked one of my professors for a Greek word, and she came up with allethia (AE-LA-THEE-YA) meaning truth. It's that or SwordFish. What do you think about those names (for real - seriously. I'm putting it on sourceforge soon so I need a name).

    What's with this sword thing? Am I missing something? I think SwordFish would be a really cool name if there was some meaning behind the sword thing.

    Well sword refers to the Bible because scripture is used as a 'weapon'.

    Ah I see. Well if that's fairly commonly understood, I think SwordFish is an awesome name.

    The Binary Word

    I think that has lots of potential. Considering the the bible is the word of god, and is in binary format that you are reading it.
    c++->visualc++->directx->opengl->c++;
    (it should be realized my posts are all in a light hearted manner. And should not be taken offense to.)

    You seem really into it, but all the sword names really, really suck.

    Along Jeremy G's line, I'd like to suggest DWORD: A nice pun off of computer jargon, and it is essentially a perfectly accurate description, although admittedly spelled slightly wrong - "De Word"

    Arabic:
    Al-Kitaab (The Book)
    Maliknaa (Our Master / Lord)

    Course, those would make it sound like the Quran, but meh.

    you're really into arabic Lurker ,aren't you?

    first name is used commonly in arabic communities to refer to the Quran , so its not suitible. The second , well , we don't really refer to god as "lord" or "master" , but maybe Arab christians do.

    He should stick to english IMO..
