    Happy Pi Day everyone!

Although, to be honest, it really scares me if you do actually celebrate this. Does anyone know of any math departments that have held "parties"?

I admit in college we celebrated pi time every night at 3:14am. That, and we would give each other pi instead of five where instead of using all five fingers you only used 3 fingers and part of another. Man we were such nerds

My school celebrates this. Blame all the AP Calculus and Statistics students. (Yeah, all 10 of us in a school of 280 :/)

I didn't know about this until a few days ago, but yes, my math department actually held a party in celebration of this pi-day. They offered "pita-breads" and "piggelin" (a swedish icecream).

Of course I went to this. I'm a student and if there's free food anywhere, I'm there.

My thoughts exactly. Who cares what the celebration is...there's food involved. You could count me in.

But no I didn't celebrate PI day and I've never even heard of it till now. Really starting to worry about some of you.

Sadly Pi day doesn't exist, as there is no 14th month. You can't even celebrate it on the 31st of April. The closest I guess is the 3rd of January (3/1 4:15). Silly Americans.

14th day of the 3rd month in most countries is

    14/3, I believe.

    In America, it's 3/14, though.
