The kid can paint, big freaking deal. You should see some of the finger paintings I did when I was five, no one called me a child prodigy. And as far as meanings behind her paitings, it's probably all her parents, like others have said. Kids are stupid, period.

Lol its impressive that she has the ability to paint as beautifully as she does, (especially for a 10 year old), I know my drawing abilities are about as impressive as a pig wallowing through mud. However, I get the impression she is not really considering what she is doing other than following what her parents are guiding her to do. I know that sounds pessimistic... but hey I am a pessimistic guy

The trouble is, that poor child is probably being forced to regurgitate this "art", at the expense of an education, by her parents who either want fame, money or just attention.
from what she says, religion plays a huge role on her paintings and life. Her parents teachings influence her to paint only what she has been taught. Even though she has talent i dont think she is creative enough as an artist.

I'm not saying I don't agree with you... that is one of the first things that came into my mind was that she seemed almost forced into painting. The parents are also, as you said, pretentious fools, but, just the fact that an 8 year old has such utter mastery of the human form, especially the face (the hardest part to master) and is able to protray such raw emotions through it is amazing.
I was not as impressed with her poetry in its totallity as I was with her art; she seemed to have a talent for art and a semblance of the mastery of words. My point was this, whether or not she was forced to make the paintings, whether or not it is by her choice, not only does she seem happy with it (going by the pictures at least, we can't really now) but that she is a very, very good painter, who seems to have mastery at the age of 8 what most artist never obtain and could, perhaps, one day have the sublime touch of another Da Vinci or Dali.
