Yeah, I'm pretty sure that did well critically.
Did anyone see that? Any good?

Yeah, I believe his type of role in that film is usually referred to as "starring in".

I know that "Hero" is starting to dig cited by HK critics... they said it only appeals to Hollywood.

I think Hero is an outstanding film. The shots are amazing, and the use of color is excellent. I also like the style of the whole film as mostly being stories told. It's definately a better film than I was expecting...one of those "looking for a $5 in your wallet, but finding a $20" moments.
If I did your homework for you, then you might pass your class without learning how to write a program like this. Then you might graduate and get your degree without learning how to write a program like this. You might become a professional programmer without knowing how to write a program like this. Someday you might work on a project with me without knowing how to write a program like this. Then I would have to do you serious bodily harm. - Jack Klein
Hahaha. That is very funny, government... I think we should point out that that isn't actually Mr. Li in the banner, and your statement was farcical lest anyone think otherwise.
I agree with pianorain. I saw Hero and thought it was very, very well done. Imported movies that do well here tend to be geared toward a Hollywood audience and not one of Hong Kong. I actually like such films much less than "real" Chinese movies, but this and House of Flying Daggers were very well done, for American Chinese movies (with Hero being the better of the two by far).
I didn't care for Hero that much to be honest. It had some beautiful shots in it but I dunno, it just didn't click very well for me. I thought Flying Daggers was far more interesting with some shots that were equally if not more beautiful. And of course neither come close to my favorite movie of all time, Crouching Tiger
Hero is the best movie I've ever seen, as well as the most beautiful, and I've seen a few. It's worth seeing for the use of colors only, but the fighting scenes are outstanding, as well as the music. The story is somewhat non-linear, but quite easy to follow.Originally Posted by Govtcheez
Flying daggers is very good, but it doesn't equal Hero.
Heh.well none of his films are "critically acclaimed"
Look and enjoy:
