    Hello

    Hey, whats up? I'm new to this board, as you can already tell by the title. Anyways, I am a beginner C++ programer, actually I'm am lower than a beginner... I am currently reading Learn C++ in 24 Hours by SAMS books, and it came with a BloodShed compiler.
    My purpose to learn programing is to be able to make small programs for personal use, and also make a few simple games, or bots for certain games. I am glad to be a part of your community, and I look forward to learning!

    Welcome! Just make sure you read all the sticky's at the top of the programming forums, and you should fit right in.

    Hey bmroyer! Be sure to use [CODE ] tags [/CODE ] between the code you post! Like this:

    Code:
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include <stdlib.h>
    #include <string.h>

    int main(void) {
     puts("Birds fly!!");
     return 0;
    }
    That is all I have to say! lol

    hello bmroyer, make sure you stay away from RoD, he has had a bad rash for the past couple of years that he just can't get rid off.

    When you try a program and fail, try harder, and if you still get stuck, ask questions instead of getting too frustrated. You'll be super good with C/C++/C#/etc in a good period of time as long as you stay consistent! Consistency is the key, and also not posting too much in the General Discussion forum, because you won't have any time to program! Like me!
