I have a job interview in an hour.

I have relevant experience...I know what I'm doing...I need this job bad.

How should I persuade them to give me a job.

(this is for a chashier position at winn dixie, lame I know, but I dont have a degree just yet)
    Hmm

Grab as much info from the company website as you can, and ask some intelligent questions about what you've just learnt.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

here are some you can use, hope you find them helpful :

    - Smile (duh!)

    - Use short and smart answers and avoid long boring ones.

    - If they ask questions like "would you work in <holiday name here>" just say "yes" (companies seem to ask this question often to check if you're a hard worker or not , but careful cuz they might be serious )

    - Use a joke or two in the interview ( unless the interviewer looks too serious or/and not in a mood to laugh ) , and don't be silly.

    - look at his\her eyes while you're talking. This will make you look more confident.

    good luck

    It's a grocery store, isn't it?

If you don't get it, you're a failure.

Don't pee in the coffee pot until after you've got the job.

The only suggestion i followed, was keeping my pants on. And I got the job.... plus I'm way over qualifiied, so I think he was scared a tid that I would eventually have his job. None the less, I am now an employee. weee.

Wasn't much of an interview, more like "so what times do you want to work" .
    Hmm

That's great! I worked at a grocery store for about 2 years before moving away for school. The only difference was I worked for a small store owned by someone in our town, not a big chain like Winn Dixie. I have often considered applying for the Winn Dixie here, but I don't think it would be the same as a small store. Hope you like it.

Brain Cell, your advice reminds me of the advice I once got for flying on FAA checkrides:
    1. Don't scare the examiner.
    2. Laugh at all of the examiner's jokes.
Do those two and you'll be fine.

The word rap as it applies to music is the result of a peculiar phonological rule which has stripped the word of its initial voiceless velar stop.

keep a $20 bill in sight.. perhaps set off to the side.. but somewhere will it will be visible to the examiner.

at some point during the interview, ask the examiner if he would like to meet your friend, "bill"... or tell your examiner you have "alexander hamilton" as a job reference.

That would just be confusing. Hamilton's not on the 20, Jackson is.
