    MS Updates crashed my system

I won't go into detail, but I downloaded and installed the latest Windows updates and spent the next 3 hours restoring the computer. It totally screwed up the login procedure which was causing fatal errors and making the computer reboot.

Hold off until they fix it! (or at least I'm pretty sure that's what screwed up the system... not much else was going on at the time).

Speaking of updates, what really ........ed me off (and remember, I tend to be more pro-MS than most) is that after hearing all the negative rumors about SP2, I decided to hold off on updating until the dust setlled a bit. One day, XP freezes everything. Anywhere I clicked got that little ding noise, and a Window pops up telling me it's time to update, and then installs SP2. The firewall totally screwed everything up.

She was so Blonde, she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice can because it said "Concentrate."

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.

Anyone else getting the impression of a really bad tabloid story... like "Zombies abducted my grandmother", "Aliens fried my dog" or something ?
