    "Unregistered"

Could we please not let people post if they are not registered. I've noticed that most flames, useless posts, and dumb stuff come from "Unregistered" users. I think a lot of registered users use these names so that they won't be flamed back...
What will people say if they hear that I'm a Jesus freak?
What will people do if they find that it's true?
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak, there is no disguising the truth!

I often feel sorry for the mods...... everyone expects them to sit here on this board and work tirelessly on details such as this.....and for free too

Lots of users (me included) have dynamic IPs that change with each logon...therefore its not easy to link everyone in this manner. And if the link was made......what then?.....You cant stop people posting...

I don't care about guests as long as they dont use the "unregistered" name. If someone has an account, and wants to flame, don't hide behind the "unregistered" name. Just flame!

I agree with fordy, I dislike the Unregistered thing, but you may use it if you need to post a quick message and don'tt have time to sign up

As for the mods, we are also assuming that they are gods, I mean that theey can do anything they want with this board, I have never been a mod, but since I've seen boards like this (vBulletin) in other places, I'm assuming that the code for this board is not owned by the mods, maybe the webmaster, but I still think that it's illegal to change the code of this board. All this leads me to think that this "Unregistered" thing is not a customizable option for a mod, maybe for the webmaster, but not the mods.

If I were the webmaster, I would at least consider disabling the unregistered for the GD topic (remember that this is also a programming board, and maybe you need to post a quick message and don't have time to sign up (said that two times ))

As for the IP, my IP is dynamic too, each time I connect, my IP is likely to change, and I have a wide range of ISP's to connect to. and I also checked the board at school (maybe will do so too at the university).

I prefer to see who's posting, but with the amount of traffic on this board, it makes sense not to inforce the "Only post if registered" rule that these boards have..... I think there are loads of people who post here with 1 maybe 2 questions as unregistered.....if so there's no need to have an account created for them....

    Yup....totally true....

They should create a forum called the "Spam and Junk", for those who cannot control their stress and emotion right.
