    Google SMS

In their latest effort to take over the world, Google has introduced Google SMS. Anyone tried it?

I recently dropped mine because I wasn't using them enough. I can still send and recieve them, I just pay per message (10c to send, 2c to recieve). Which is far cheaper than spending $1.25 for a 411 call.

That seems a lot less cool than SMS. The same thing can be done pretty quickly with Javascript.

I'm trying it, but it won't index anything until my computer is idle, so I'll have to wait until I have something else to do.

I tried the SMS thing last nite and it works like a charm! I put in "Pizza hut.11111" where the 1's represent my zip code and it gave me the phone number for the one I usually call plus the other one in the city. It also gave me the address to both.

very creative, aren't we? I think we can all just go to the google labs from here on in and see thier next "effort to take over the world"... besides, this stuff isn't exactly for profit, and google is a cool company... leave them alone

the SMS thing seems real nice, but that desktop thing is something I'd probably pass on...
