Detective 1: Who do you think killed him? Detective 2: google it newb.

Wonderful, google is really getting around. I can't wait till criminal investigations are treated like newb questions on forums with the infamous: "google it newb".

Too lazy to click? Officer uses google to identify a deceased person as a missing person some 1600 miles away from his home town.

    I <3 google.

Also, have any of you heard that google may be working on their own web browser. If google makes it's browser as good as everything else, I bet it becomes the new internet standard over IE and Mozzilla.

I doubt it, considering that most internet users use IE because it comes pre-installed on their PC. Making them switch away from it will be difficult.

Actually the ratio of IE vs Other browsers has become MUCH lower recently. Almost close to half and half. I'm still an IE user, but if google made a browser, and it was good I might just use it.

All Google would have to do is make their search engine incompatible with other browsers... Cheap, counter-productive, and unoriginal, but people would switch.

(And yes... I know their smart enough not to do that... I am being sarcastic.)

Indeed. They would switch to another search engine.

    Note the sarcasm disclaimer.

If google made their own browser, I would probably consider switching

i dont care if google make a browser or not, as long as it uses the gecko rendering engine, its cool for me.

i think that people are asuming that the browser wars only depend on the browser itself, and IMO they don't. when longhorn comes out, IE will supposdly merge into windows in a way it hasnt done before. even now when i tell people to switch to firefox they say "but i want the internet!!!!"

ive tried mozilla, netscape and firefox but i can not surf comfortably with any browser but IE. so if google did bring out a browser, i would probably try it but just end up reverting back to IE again.
