    Unidentified virus

    i have a virus on my machine that keeps replacing the default home url with about:blank, trends online virus scan, norton and mcaffee find nothing but everytime i change it it changes back!
    does anybody know what this is and how to get rid of it?

    I already tried the sasser tool but it wasnt that.

    Sounds more like spyware than a virus to me. Have you tried using AdAware or Spybot?

    have run a full ad-aware scan and have removed everything, it still happens.

    Definetely spyware, i had exactly the same problem before, a run with ad-aware and Spybot S&D should do the trick (donīt forget to update both of them before running )...

    i helped someone with the same problem. Adaware got rid of it for me, and deleting all the temp. files
