    Cello piece...

This is kind of driving me crazy. I was watching a program on pbs the other night called "The Elegant Universe" (that's a book too, isn't it?)

Anyways, there was a cello piece played in it and I know I've heard it somewhere before but I've never heard the name. I think it might be a piece played in "The Pianist," but I'm not really sure...

Probably, no one will be able to tell me what it is because you only hear a very small portion of it, but if you go to: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/elegant/program.html

And click on "the potential of strings" (chapter 2) under hour 3 a little bit is played at about 1:25 and in the next chapter I think the end is played at about 2:00, and I think other places in the program it is played in the background as well...Maybe I'm just a little crazy asking about this but I would really like to know what the piece is...

Bach. 1st Cello Suite in G Major. The piece in the film is the Prelude movement.

Cellos are the best. Deep tones
Stupid people are useful. You can make them do all the mindless tasks you are too lazy to do yourself.

Sphynx cats are just bald and wrinkly, like old people, and we don't reject them.
