    password-cookie from cboard-location?

    Hey there folks,

Yesterday i formatted al my systems except for one ( which im using now ) as a result i dont have that cookie again from this board that signs me in automatically i tried to log in manually but it seems that i forgot my password, i still have the cookie somewhere on this system but cant seem to find it.

Any location where i should look ( im using win xp ),

Thx in advance and sorry for bothering with this "noobish" question :-D.

    1. It depends on your browser
    2. unless your brower is horribly broken, the password is stored in the cookie in an encrypted form, so you can't just look at a cookie and say "oh, my password is ..."
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

I am using IE, and yes i know i cant just look at it like that but probably ill just be able to copy the cookie from one system onto the other ine the same location.

Problem with this is that i dont know the location of this cookie.

Well i just copied the cookie from this system to my other system and changed the cookie name since the cookie name is always username@cboard.... So i changed the username in front to that of the other system but it seems that this is not working as well.

I was wondering if the admins of this board can look into the password of users, if so could they be kind enough to send me my password please.

    Thanks,

    Ganglylamb.

Well if you get it wrong, you get this
You have entered an invalid username or password. Please press the back button, enter the correct details and try again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password? Click here!

You have used 1 out of 5 login attempts. After all 5 have been used, you will be unable to login for 15 minutes.
So click on the click here and follow it through
Dunno if it emails you you old password, or a temp new one
    either way, you're back in

Alrighty IŽll try that one out,

I still cant believe how my memory is messed up like this normally i never forget my passwords...

I guess those scientist who said that alcohol destroys braincells were right after all.
But luckily there are also scientist who say that you can reproduce braincells by exercising alot ( at least it worked for a mouse ).

    Thanks again,

    Ganglylamb.

Why don't you just change the password using the computer that still logs in? It's in the user control panel.
