The Webmaster, and what we think of him.

I apologize that this is the result of pure boredom.

Somehow I accidentally ran across a thread in which someone's mental picture of the webmaster was brought up (http://cboard.cprogramming.com/showthread.php?t=53897). I recieved a PM a few months ago asking for my opinion of the webmaster, for some sort of survey (the result of which I haven't seen... what was the purpose of that?)

Anyway. I thought it would be fun if we all shared what we picture the webmaster as being like. I always pictured him as this dark warlord who would occasionally drive his motorcade of wagons into the village, where his administrators (govtcheez and the like would help him off the main wagon, remove his black cape, and he would inspect the recent work of his pathetic peasants (us). Any body else?

    Sean,
That's hillarious! I never thought of him as the warlord type. I guess I just thought of him as a graduate student or something like that.

Well considering he is an Ivy Leaguer, I'd imagine slacks, button up shirt with tie, and a very nice leather trench coat hiding the 3000 year old sword.

    [true storry]
I once was browsing the net for some code and I came across some code from a guy named alexander. at the bottom of the code somewhere it said: webmaster of cprogramming.com.
I started thinking (hurts) and I thought by myself: hey I know that guy. That's how I found out his name

I think that was the only code I ever saw from him
And now I feel stupid for nat taking a screenshot of it
    [/true story]

Oh yeah, how I picture the cprog headmaster:

Blond dreadlock, always in shorts, body coverd with hair, a beer belly, beard. A t-shirt with picture of the head of bjarne (that's also how he calls his kid). those shoes with open toes (the kind people have in deserts, I don't know the english word) And an absolutely gorgeous wife. He drives a an old red Ford and his wife a BMW Z4.

    ROFL!

I picture webmaster as a dude with a goatee and mustache living in a nice house. Kinda on the medium size range on width, kinda tallish in height.

edit: I forgot to mention, brown hair

jverkoey - actually that guy looks a bit dark warlordish, wouldn't you say? And does the webmaster know you've been following him and taking pictures of him?

A recent photograph of the webmaster can be seen here.

This shot was taken at the last moderator reunion, it's about 2 years old.

She was so Blonde, she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice can because it said "Concentrate."

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.
