Time: What does it consist of?

Since no one liked my meaning of life thread, I decided to open a different one with a different topic.

Time is a unit of measurement. As we have meters we have hours, as we have centimeters we have minutes, and as we have millimeters we have seconds. Therefore, if time is just a unit of measurement, how would we modify time? You can't move a glass of water by modifying its unit of measurement, and with this view how could you modify what time measures?

You know before starting a thread why don't you try searching a little first? I mean we have covered time, and time travel quite a bit before.

I seem to recall a story were some evil pirates stole the formula for controlling time from a couple wicked ninjas...I wonder if its true...

*sigh* I think I'll go search instead of discuss. *sigh*

And I agree, pirates could never overtake ninjas.

The pirates might have a chance if they had freshly baked soft cookies. Nothing says evil like a Martha Stewart pirate (or is that redundant?)

I think time consists of timeGetTime() or something? I can't remember?

Or maybe you gotta hook int 2Fh to get those nasty ninjas off of your back. But if you are not careful you could get some warm cookies to mess it up to so you also better write a cookie handler for int 21h. We don't want any unauthorized cookies messing with our int 21h radiator cooling system for our new engine.

You could search on www.gamedev.net but I think time consists of cookies, ninjas, and DWORDs with BYTES intermingled.

EDIT: I think I'm way off on the int 21h cookies thing. You might want to ask Salem about this.
