Woop?
thank you. You have a happy fourth of July also
just a normal sunday,
tired,
bored,
broke.
Well, happy Fourth of July to every body on the Western calendar system, but a happy Independence Day to Americans.
I didn't get to see any fireworks today. That's a bummer. The only thing I did today to honor the US is I learned the Jimi Hendrix version of The Star Spangled Banner. I'm not a proud American by a long shot, but it IS my homeland, whether I like it or not.
You think you've enlightened yourself by that statement but in reality now you're just more stupid.Originally Posted by bludstayne

The fireworks this year were awesome. Holy buckets. I'm still excited. Rayovac was one of 6 major sponsors. The show I goto isn't the largest show in my area, probably the 2nd, but 15,000 people show up in the park where it's shot off at and around 50,000 people watch from around the city. The guy who got the event running every year for the past 18 years moved away, so this year there were tons of sponsors and 2 different pyrotechnic companies did it at the same time..$50,000 for each show the past years..$20,000 for the fireworks throughout the past years. 30minute show, approximately 2 minute finale. This year was the best I've ever seen out of this park for the past 3 years. I don't have any stats due to the new people who ran it.
The largest show in our state, and the surrounding 4 or 5 states has about 5 pyrotechnics companies, maybe a few more, from all around the world come do it. But at the cost of 300,000 people inside one little park watching fireworks(among many other events), I'm not too eager to go because of all the damn traffic and people. Go there during the day, and you're backed up on a freaking COUNTY road for miles trying to work your way into the park before you even get into the city.
I don't mind the 50,000 people bit since most of them walk, or sit outside their homes/apartments, but 300,000 is nuts.
The world is waiting. I must leave you now.

What the hell xteria? I'm just saying that I'm not proud being American, but I will show my appreciation for it since it IS where I live. Your statement made YOU look stupid, not me. You see, I try to give back when I'm given to. The US has done a lot for me, as it does for all its citizens. If you say otherwise than you are self-centered and need to learn to appreciate what you are given instead of always demanding for more.
