I honestly believe many chinese ppl know much more than they will ever let on. Like they have secrets they are keeping from the west. I think they way they are going will only help them pass the U.S. if they haven't already. check out the story

Many programmers tend to be unable to view society on an abstract level.

and that is exactly the attitude us citizens have. Until they wake up one morning and realsise they are being surpassed in every area. If you don't know and your not scared you should be.

Nope, no point in being afraid of an American company with outposts in other countries. I love America.

I know that, but "Chinaman" itself is a racist word (Chinese people HATE it), and others aren't as tolerant as me.

I found this, I could have been wrong...

    http://www.abc.net.au/classic/breakf...es/s979085.htm

It suggests a negetive meaning to the thread:

    from the link
Michael Rundell, in his Dictionary of Cricket, suggests it arose in the late 20s or early 30s based on the (now politically incorrect) view that the Chinese, as a race, were inscrutable, and devious...

Yoshi is right. "China Man" (however you spell it) is annoying to most Chinese.

don't click this if you're easily offended: http://www.rsdb.org/

it's just a list, of racial slur thingies, but yeah... I'm half chinese too but it doesn't bother me at all... I think people just need to lighten up and learn to take a joke...
