Will it recover a crashed 98 installation - I very much doubt it
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
I think he wants to know if he can install XP using his recovery CD.. If thats what he is asking .. I very much doubt it since recovery CDs are designed to work on specific modlels of laptpops/PC's and it is not actually an XP installation CD..

remember one thing... the recovery CD is loaded with drivers fro your PC and not your friends.. Even if it proceeds to 'recover' his system the driver might not match his system....Originally Posted by caroundw5h
