    Russian stuffffffffff

I'm trying to learn Russian, and was wondering if there was a place I could listen to Russian stuff, like radio stations, music, talk shows, whatever. I figure it'll help a bit. I've heard of a German station that has its broudcasts available for download - anything like that? Thanks !

hey if you go on winamp>internet radio > and type in Russia/russian or alike you will get plenty of stations...it is mostly really bad dance music, but hey... anyways, why did you choose Russian? it is an exceptionally hard language to learn for anyone who is not slavic.

I can read Russian, but learned it because I love Russian Literature...Russian is similar enough to Polish so that I can understand most of it...and my girlfriend is Ukrainian and speaks russian fluently so she helps me out with the comprehension part.

anyways, I found the Complete Idiot's Guide to Learnging Russian to be about my speed. I think it is a great book, so if you are interested I would definitely check it out. And if you don't feel like spending money on books this website is great http://langintro.com/rintro/ it starts with the alphabet and moves on from there.

Are you kidding? Several books, dictionaries, and CDs. I got some of them on Amazon.

Bull........... I can already understand simple conversations, read, and write. The hardest part is some of the grammar and memorization, which is fixed by hard work and studying. Thanks for the ideas, though.

well then, you must really have an exceptional talent for foreign languages!...it is not "bullsh!t" as for probably 95% of people who try to learn a foreign language, Russian is extremely hard....so I suggest you humble yourself a bit.

If the language is really hard for 95% of people (as you say) there is not reason to be humble, as being superior is generaly a reason to be arogant.

If the language is easy (as he says), then yes he should humble himself as his accomplishment is not anything to boast about.

    Eh?

Also, thanks for the link axon. I've been using it. I'm finding russian fun. I wont claim to understand simple conversations, reading or writing--but i am learning. I've been considering taking russian as my foreign language for college. I know i should take something useful like spannish (heavy latino population here) but russian has always interested me (So i can be a russian spy! well at least when I was younger that is).
