    ... it doesn't matter how much it costs in the UK, or the US, I can't get those prices here! Cars are expensive here - full stop. I can't buy one abroad and bring it here, it is not permitted to drive a foreign registered car here for more than, (I think), 6 weeks. Then you have to register it here. To do so entails paying the tax that would have been levied on the car if it had been bought here, tax levy on new cars is 225% purchase price - uneconomic to bring used cars here.

    Thats why you have them write you a receipt for 1 dollar. Then its not too bad

    Nissan forever baby.
    I've been driving one for almost 5 to 6 years (a primera)
    And I must say I'm very pleased with it.
    No real difficulties (well one atualy but I have a suspision it's not nissans fault but Pioneers' )

    Nissan is japanese.

    Anyway, my boss has an 02 Nissan Sentra GXE im thinking bout taking over payments on. 30K on it, its nice.

    When I went looking for a car someone actually said they'd write the receipt for less then the purchase price. Needless to say I didn't spend much longer looking at the car and left quickly without that car (the guy had misrepresented the truth a couple times in about 5 mins also)

    Yea thats basically the problem i had, then my boss offered up the nissan for the low price of taking over the payments.
