I just posted that link in the other cricket thread. I don't play anymore, but I would have been very happy to turn in 7 for 12. My best effort was 6 for 22 for British Gas, Staines against The Sun Inn at Barnes, 16/8/1992.

Would've been happy with 7 for 12? I'd have been ecstatic!Originally posted by adrianxw

Ummm and I mean on a Sunday league, never mind a Test!
6 for 22 however is good, but do you have same style? If you are a spinner it could be expected. Not frequent, but it could happen.

I would like to think of my style as a lightning quick fast bowler, just short of international class. In truth, I bowled a very line and length boring medium pace, with reasonable result in the Sunday pub/village leagues I played in.
On that one particular Sunday afternoon, my line and length were working nicely against a team who decided to try to knock every delivery out of the park, bad combination - for them.
If anyone from The Sun Inn ever reads this, the fixtures against you were always my favourites, great game, and a superb "afters" at the pub. A great bunch of guys.
