    Largest forum on the net

    Hey,

Just wondering, which is the largest forum on the net.

    According to:
    (a) no. of members
    (b) no. of threads
    (c) no. of posts

    I think:
    (a) http://www.csnation.net - 213,017
    (b) http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/ - 858,387
    (c) http://www.hardforum.com/ - 3,016,250

As Cheez suggests, bulk numbers mean nothing. In terms of members, it just shows up sites that do not delete innactive members. For threads/messages, it just shows who has a large server capacity/poor housekeeping etc.

That place is absolutely insane. You post a thread and in 20 minutes you have > 50 replies. Don't think there's anything that beats it. (Due to its size, it's absolute crap, however. 100% noise, 0% signal.)

You underestimate the power of porn my friend. While doing some research for a paper I wrote on internet based relationships I stumbled across quite a few sex related forums that have at least triple the numbers that site does.
