I read somewhere that you US guys are getting "It's A Knockout!" this year. How pathetic, that show has been buzzing around in one form or another since the early '70's and you're execs think it's a totally new idea. T.V. has gone to the dogs. I mean, it was never great, but at least it was passable. Fox turned into hardcore pornography so fast I didn't even notice.
Don't whine about TV. Turn it off. There are a million better things to do anyway. For me, I very rarely watch TV, and if I do, I watch The Daily Show with John Stewart (Comedy Central), The Simpsons (not much anymore because the new ones are awful), Télé Cinq (it's French), and occasionally one of the educational channels (the Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, the History Channel, History International, the Science Channel, the International Channel, etc.).

battlebots was great..i like junkyard wars too. TLC and history channels are the only good channels out there. and comedy central too.

Besides a few live sporting events TV has little to offer imho. Maybe a wether warning or lve footage from the scene of a disaster but even that is getting to be so sensationalized it's hard to watch.

only things I watch are old repeats of Star Trek (NG, V, DS9), Stargate and sitcoms like Seinfield. Everything else bores me.
I like alot of the shows on TNT, most of all Law and Order.
