    Brief explanation of BWK's credentials

Trying to figure out a short and sweet way of listing Brian W Kernighan's credentials for my english paper.

Here is what I have (needs to be cleaned up a little)
co-author of one of the original C compilers and co-author of one of the popular C standards used prior to the American National Standards Institute adopting a formal standard
Since this is a English class and not going to be read by anyone with a lot of knowledge on the subject I can emblish a little. But at the same time I do not wish to lie outright, so if I'm wrong please say so

If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

Already looked there. Too me simply saying someone has written a lot of books isn't enough for creditionals

Just trying to translate it into normal language.
