    Hi guys,
    I got my new Sony VAIO GRT 815 M laptop..( p4 2.8 Ghz, 512 MB Ram, 80 GB HDD, DVD-rw, GForce 4 FX5600 with 64 MB Vram..)...

Feel great.. But still feel it is not as robust as my PIII Desktop.. is this normal...

I know what you mean. I've always felt that laptops are just for some work when you don't have access to the mian machine.
I guess size looks like matters. Laptops and desktops are not designed to give the same feeling. Oh well, congrats on the laptop though, I dunno if I should get a low-spec one to keep using Linux as I'm gonna be away from the computer that's got one. Speaking of which, I'm actually writing from WinXP
Just wait till I get wine working...

Thats why they should make laptops as huge and "robust" as desktops! So that some people can still feal the "robustness" of their lapi.

Which would defeat the object of having a laptop, but all right.
