Thread: Book review thread

    Book review thread

I just started with C# and I needed a book to learn from.
nvoigt gave me 3 titles and some info about them. That was very usefull to me.

Because there are so many books out there and to me (an unemployed graduate) books are very expensive. I would be hugly disapointed if I bought a book that doesn't live up to my expectations.

Therefor I suggest the following: If a mod makes a sticky thread where the members could post their reviews, suggestion and if the book is worth the money etc. Also, maybe give it a score from 1 to 10
The first post will be constantly edited by the mods to add new books (with the average of all the scores posted for that book). This will keep all the reviews of the books (perhaps ordered by language) in one post and the visitor doesn't have read all the pages of the thread.

I know this will give the mods an extra task, but I think it will be worth it. (they get paid enough for it )

How does this sound to you guys?

edit: this will also show me what kind of books the C-guru's around here read
