    procrastination

A lot of You have allready been through the hustles of University; I was just wondering how have you delt with procrastination?

I was really bad my freshman year, I thought that I work best on a tight schedule (haha); I did get everything done and passed with pretty good grades, but it wasn't the way to go. Now, that I am a junior here is my technique to get things done on time: first of all exercise; I go to the local gym 5 times a week for an hour each time (this is probably the best), I try not to work past 2am, limit the coffee intake (no more than a cup a day), substitute coffee with greentea, and try to stay of the interent, whitch is probably the biggest time "waster" ever!

My best tip? Ummm try to finish programming assignments with at least one full week to spare. (used to get 4-6 weeks to complete).

Final week you have time to test and debug, and if you have to, change the whole thing! Plus tweak your paperwork etc (design and pseudocode etc)

yes, but that wasn't the point of the question...the problem is to get yourself to do the program way before the due date

Isnt that what the hell I said to do?

Or do you mean ways of motivating yourself to achieve the goal I stated? Be more clear

You seem to have lots of stuff going for you already. Not many students visit a Gym daily, or go to bed before 5am.!!

You seem to have it sorted so far.

Is it because of lack of interest ? ... If yes, then that may be a problem.

Damn, man - we usually only got a week to finish our projects. They were probably a little smaller.

    LMAO

Procrastination has always been a problem for me, and I keep telling myself "I'm going to start doing my home work...................next week." lol. I usually don't do my homework until the next day of school, then I have to rush to get it done and I get bad grades on homework. It's mostly motivational though. The classes I got are so below my level and boring that I don't try my hardest in them. I'm in the so called "Honors" classes, but I still got to put up with these stupid morons that somehow talk their way into the honors classes. The first four days of school in ALGEBRA II FOR CRYING OUT LOUD was just covering number systems. It wasn't like we did any complex numbers, it was just covering the real number system. I haven't learned a single thing in "Honors" English. People in that class don't even know the difference between a gerund and an infinitive. Phys Ed is dumb to start with. I've learned more in World Geography than any of my classes, but I'm still bored with it; I signed up for World History but the classes filled up. Life Science may be the hardest class all year, but I hate Life Science, give me a Physical Science book.

Can I get back to you on that?
