Yeah, I looked for that; couldn't find it.
He probably doesn't treat her very good, though. She needs some Cheez-love. Come on over, sweet thang.

It was in the "how did you get started in programming" or something thread.Quote:
No, no, no, there's tons of girls much more attractive than I ... I just finally found a nice guy who appreciates me for who I am, rather than being scared of my geekness! (Sheesh, I should think before I post...)
Dude, shut up - you're scaring her off!
edit: codegirl - I can lick my forehead
run, codegirl run!
Now you've gone and made me change my title.
Okay guys, I guess a thread about sex before marriage isn't too pg13 friendly anyway, but lets keep it as nice as we can. Don't hit on the only female member around, don't spill your drinks, don't start bar fights. In other words: Behave ! ( </AustinPowers> :p )
Oh, and on a sidenote: weird relationships with female cprog members is my speciality. Keep out of my turf govt. ;)
I would never cockblock. I feel so insulted.
keep running codegirl!
Heh, point taken. Guess it's your turn. I think she's pretty upset about our recent breakup; you could get her on the rebound.Quote:

Wow...
What a mental roller coaster! First, my on-topic response:
How important is it to you? Does finding out that she got a speeding ticket in the past make you think less of her? What about if she once stole a CD from a music store? Does that really change who she is? If anything, those past experiences make her who she is now, and that "who she is now" is the person you like, right?
Now for the rest of you. *keeps a wary eye on govt* Thank you for a lovely read. If I didn't know better, I'd say some of you were positively serious. On the other hand, and this prospect scares me to death, many of you probably are! (and hey, don't take my points away, I hadn't even said anything yet!)
It's a shame religous matters cause so much debate and anger. Who'd have thunk it? The very ideal that's supposed to bring us together to live in harmony causes the worst arguments, among other things.
Besides, I thought morals were something practical that you learn from a story or an experience, like teaching a man to fish so he can get his own food instead of having to leech off of you because you just give him the fish you catch *dodges the tomatoes*, or not putting so much worth in your antlers and hating your legs when your legs are what move you (and your antlers) around... From that, wouldn't the morality of a situation (and thus the "rightness" or "wrongness") come down to whether the decision made is the most "right" to further your existence? (then again, dictionary.com throws in "just in behavior" and enough other stuff to make the word moral seem more like an arbitrary personal decision than anything practically useful in any type of scientific evaluation).
Just remember the most important rule of all: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Hope none of this offends!

But it's my birthday! Don't you want to give me a present?

Happy Birthday. Click me!
Indeed, many of the wars in the world revolve around religion. That's why I'm a proud atheist. Religion is very old and it is showing its age a bit these days. Religion was perfect for the dark ages when people didn't like to think for themselves and died at the age of twenty, I'm not sure how much longer religion will last, maybe a 100 - 150 years or so. The clock is ticking Jesus.Quote:
