All things aside, if you've proposed to someone and she said yes, and then she says, "Oh yeah. I've had sex with two other guys", would you marry her? seriously
For one, if I'd only marry a virgin and she'd think the same about it, I would have to stay single until I get reborn

If she was with x guys before we were together... who cares ? Chances are she even loved her first one ( or second, third... )

She was so Blonde, she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice can because it said "Concentrate."

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.

Getting your hopes up for your first time being anything more than a gateway to when it starts to be good is asking for it.
HAHA...good stuff. It's true, though, in my opinion. It'll be a "pump 'N a dump." The girl almost always expierences pain, if she's a virgin, and the guy usually doesn't last long.

I've been with 2 people before my current g/f. My current g/f knows of those 2 people and I've told her everything there is to know about them. She makes me happier far more than they have, and gives me the things I've wanted. She asks questions about what they haven't or had done, sexually or nonsexually. She hasn't been with anybody before me. I'll sit and explain electronics(toggle switches, bread boards, wiring, wiring setups - parallel/series), speakers, car performance/styles/efficency, computers, aerial raid sirens, explosive theroy/technology, arcade machines, emulators, and certain PC aspects among other things to her, and she listens attentivley, asks questions, and likes these subjects and tries to learn more. I've taught her to be not to shabby of a Google'r also. She likes a lot of games and we like the same music, movies and so on. We've been together since Dec. 14th of 2001 and haven't had one single argument. It's out there, you just have to look and not give up hope.

This "white picket fence" fantasy that everybody is holding out for is a joke.

Heh, I have a 24/25 yr old male friend who's a virgin(GASP)...and he has the huge plain of lasting 8 hours(bursts out laughing)...

Sh1t, 8 hours? I got games to play, music to listen to, and other crap to do. I like nookie like the local news - straight to the point.
The world is waiting. I must leave you now.

The next person who says this will be beaten to death with a giant clue brick. Morality is not what society tells you is right or wrong.
    Essentially, i think it is.

If morality is a set of rules set up by society then slavery, segregation, the internment of the Japanese and the Jewish in Germany were all Moral acts.

So think a little more about your definition of morality
If all As are Bs are all Bs As?

Morality IS socially based, that doesn't mean every social rule counts as morality, table manners are social rules but not moral ones. At its core morality is a specific subset of social rules that are a result of both biological and social evolution whos purpose is to keep society together. Unfortuneately it gets mixed in with cultural (mostly religious) habits which is where most of the diversity and disagreement comes in.

What? I can tell you asking somebody if they regretted shagging people prior to you is a BIG mistake.

Why should she regret it? To make up for the fact on your wedding night she wont be a virgin?

Find out why she slept with those guys? Ummm maybe she wanted to!

The only sense in what you have said about waiting for your wedding night (which you missed) is the simple fact that you always remember your first time , so therefore I guess it would be handy if it was your husband.
Well, I didn't mean to flat out ask her if she regrets it, I have more tact than that (I think!) But I think when I wrote that post I had my own religious beliefs in mind but tried not to explitictly state my beliefs, and it all just turned into a big mess. What I was trying to say is that if she's one to sleep around a lot and elchulo's uncomfortable with that, then that's probably not a good thing. But if they both have similar views and opinions on sex, they can probably work it out. I personally am more concerned whether my potential spouse is also a Christian than whether he's a virgin -- if he shares my beliefs, then even if he's had sex in the past he'll agree it was a mistake and I can forgive him for that. But this thread's not about religion or my own beliefs, so that's all I'll say on the matter! I'll let you all go back to discussing strawberries

Depends on your definition of "a lot" ... at least one or two people a few pages back thought that 2 guys by age 18 is a lot, but others obviously don't think so.

You know, not all Christians believe that sex before marriage is wrong.

anyway, people. You guys all sound like the people you always hear about who pressure someone to have sex.

Do it! Do it! Come on, you aren't hurting anyone. Come on do it! Nothing bad's going to happen! Do It! It'll be fun!

Thank you, FYB, that's just what I've been thinking!

I'm not even going to touch the issue on Christians and sex before marriage... that is a topic for a whole other thread!

FYB unless I glossed over it not one person in this thread has encourged anyone to have sex, all that people have been saying is that pre-marital sex is not necccesarily bad or immoral, and that you should not judge/look down upon someone who has engaged in pre-marital sex.

    Here we go again

He will agree it was a mistake? More likeley he thought Whoo Hooo at the time.

I see where you are coming from though-religous beliefs etc. Although shouldnt he have been forgiven by god if he repents?

Lastly, is it not up to god to forgive him, and not you as you wrote

I know I said this thread wasn't about religion, but I will quickly answer Fountain's question then get out of here -- Of course God will forgive him if he repents, I thought that went pretty much without saying, and from his standpoint that is all that's important. But at the same time we're supposed to forgive others as Christ forgave us -- if I can't forgive him, not only would I be going against Christ's teachings, but that would also make our relationship pretty difficult! (This is assuming, of course, that we both believe sex before marriage is wrong. He probably did think "woohoo" at the time, but later he'll realize it was a mistake.)

Sorry I kind of got this thread off-topic, maybe I should just learn to keep my mouth shut
