I think the correct term is "Enlightened".

People who say that linux is better because it is free have obviously never pirated a copy of windows.

I had a pirated copy of Windows XP and it made me want to use DOS again.

I had a copy of Linux, and I was found shaking in a pool of my own fluids-- 5 days later.

I like WinXP but it's got really unstable lately. Usually crashes once a day. Just stops responding. It used to freeze and then come back but now it just gives up. I need to reinstall it when I get the chance. I hate reinstalling the OS. Oh well.

Hmm... Speaking of that, my favorite Microsoft Windows (tm) triumph was the crippling of a guided missile cruiser... That took "skill".

You think Microsoft is spying on you? Why not just log your network traffic you paranoid nut.

I was running linux for about 4 months before I got VC++ and had to go back to Windows 2000. I still find myself clicking on blank spaces on my taskbar trying to go to the next virtual desktop, and only clicking once on folders expecting them to open.

I loved my linux desktop much more than my windows 2000 one now, but I prefer programming for windows. But I love networking with linux. But I love network programming with windows. But I love....

It actually took me 2 installations of Mandrake 9.0 to have it running properly, but the second time It was perfect. After a few months I even got my PNP sound card working. My least favorite thing about linux was that I couldn't play my games on it (I dont really like emulators) and that I could never find a version of MSN that could work as well as the official one. But boy, did I love my virtual desktops and the way I could blend my wallpapers.... ohhh and did I mention my Crystal icon set? Man, those were good days.

But I just wish linux had something like MSDN where I could look up any function I want (don't suggest Man pages or web searches, they annoy me). And I'm not much of a fan of GCC either. Until linux gets something like MSVC++ I'll be using windows for a long time.

Excatly. What OS you run depends on what you do. Many people flame others for their OS (or platform for that matter - tell me about it ), but hey, if XP suits your needs, then you chose right. Anyway, I'm off topic now..

I'm using WinXP, and it only crashed once or twice, but not as frequent as many of you are saying...

I think if the version or are using is OK( not pirated or something ), it should be stable, at least it's been stable with me.
    none...

What, now you think there's some sort of conspiracy, and they're going to delete or filter your network logs?

Well, if you think a piece of software is spying on you, it wouldn't be particularly intelligent to ask that same piece of software if it was spying on you. Though you'd really have to be kind of paranoid to worry about that anyways.
