Anything with an electric guitar in it. My personal favorites are..

Jimi Hendrix - DEFINATLY talent at its best. Its a shame...

Megadeth- underrated but a nice classic metal

Van Halen- uncles of the godfathers of rock

    Stone Sour- Corey rocks

Ozzy- Hes the prince of f-ing darkness. what esle can you say?

BLS- My user name explains this one..

Metallica- GODFATHERS of metal. new album sucks though

Some others worth mentioning- Zeppelin, MotorHead, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, G and R, Mudvayne....

I like a variety of stuff and I really appreciate the classic bands since they have stood the test of time.

Black Sabbath is a band that created rock. I respect them in that nature but, I am not a fan of their music. They didn't go to well with Ozzys vocals (i.e Iron Man for example). And they kicked the Prince out of their band. So i'm not a fan.

Oh and I got SS' cd before most people with a hook up from a intern at their production company )

No. Maybe (big maybe) metal, but not rock.

Metal is a subset of rock. Black Sabbath brought rock to mainstream.

I just have no idea how Sabbath brought rock to the mainstream. Have you even heard of the Beatles, or the Rolling Stones?

Hell, you may as well say Avril Lavigne invented punk.

Tons of bands impacted the whole rock scene. Black Sabbath did it the most in their time though. When you say rock or metal Black Sabbath is right there. Led Zeppelin isn't always rock. "Babe I'm going to leave you" being a good example. Many times they were alternative.
