    Considering this is a C/C++ site, I would say C/C++ for the majority of people.

    I like C++ myself but have not had that much experience with other languages.

    This should probably belong in General Discussions.

    I used to like QBasic. Then I liked Visual Basic. Then I learned C, and there is no going back.

    Depends on what kind of problem, do a search on Google to find some answers, I really don't know that much.

    agreed. I don't remember VB, and recent experience with C++ would lead me to say C++.

    C++

    There isn't one, otherwise there wouldn't be so many.

    C++

    It depends on what I'm going to be doing.
    p.s. What the alphabet would look like without q and r.

    any assembly language (they can be fun for solving simple problems but a pain in the *** for more complex stuff)

    C#

    It used to be C++, until I learned that gui programming in mfc is the biggest pain in the ... in the world! And I like windows programming more than console(I don't do console anymore).

    There is no best language. For each problem to solve there is a language best suited for it.

    If I had to choose one language to solve the rest of the problems I encounter in my life, I would probably use C#. The language I would not use if I have any other choice is ASM.

    I prefer the only language I come close to knowing, C. I know very little python but so little I couldn't comment on it.
